Three white men were indicted on charges including malice and felony murderin the killing of Ahmaud Arbery, a Black man fatally shot while jogging in a neighborhood in Georgia.
The Democratic National Convention will take place on Aug.17-20 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where Joe Biden plans to accept the presidential nomination in person. State delegators were told not to travel to the venue. The convention will be held almost entirely virtual.
New coronavirus hotspots are emerging(in Arizona, California, Mississippi, Nevada, Texas) as the U.S. recorded a one-day total new confirmed cases of 34,700, the highest level since late April. Several states, mostly in the South and West, are slowing their reopening plans
New York, Connecticut and New Jersey issued a travel advisory asking travelers from states with high coronavirus infection rates to go into quarantine for 14 days.
~ Enforcement of the rule will vary by state. While Gov. Cuomo (D-N.Y.) said violators will be subject to mandatory quarantine and face fines from $2,000 to $10,000, the penalties were unclear in New Jersey and Connecticut.

Kosovo’s president Hashim Thaci was indicted for war crimes just days before the special summit with Serbia at the White House on Saturday. The indictment was announced by a special prosecutor in Hague for Thaci’s crimes against ethnic Serbs connecting to Kosovo’s 1998 – 1999 war of independence (WaPo)
~ Serbia never recognized Kosovo’s 2008 declaration for independence. The summit was intended to solve their impasses.
